Body
The primary impact of a full Colleague, Self-Service, and Experience outage will be on enrollment-related functions.
Key impacts include:
- Students will not be able to use Self-Service to build tentative schedules for advisor review and process enrollments.
- Advisors will be unable to enroll students in courses, make schedule changes, or process adds through Colleague.
- Students, faculty, and staff will have limited access to schedule, registration, and other real-time student information normally available through Self-Service.
- Student Success staff will be unable to print registration statements, class schedules, or perform other Colleague-based record lookups.
- Placement Testing staff will be unable to enter placement scores into student records until systems are restored.
- Processes that rely on Colleague batch communication functions (such as communications associated with course cancellations) may be impacted.
Functions that should remain largely unaffected include:
- Advising appointments and walk-in advising can continue, though advisors will have limited ability to make enrollment-related changes.
- Summer course withdrawals should experience minimal impact, as students submit withdrawal forms that are routed to the Registrar's Office for processing.
- General advising, academic planning, and student support services can continue during the outage.
Overall, the most significant impact for Student Success will be the inability to process course enrollments and schedule changes during the downtime. Advising appointments will not be scheduled during the transition week - walk-in advising will still be available on a limited basis.
