1. Add Files to a Teams Channel
- Open Microsoft Teams.
- Select the Team and Channel.
- Click the Files tab.
- Select Upload > Files.
- Choose your file and click Open.
2. Drag-and-Drop into a Channel
- Open the channel’s Files tab.
- Drag a file from your computer and drop it into the Files area.
3. Add Files in a Chat
- Open the Chat.
- Click the paperclip (Attach) icon.
- Choose your upload source.
- Select your file and send it.
4. Add Files to a Teams Meeting Invite
Method A: Add a File Link
- Go to Calendar.
- Open or create a meeting.
- Use Insert link to add a document link.
Method B: Attach Files
- Open the meeting.
- Click the paperclip icon in the message area.
- Choose: Browse this computer, OneDrive, or Upload and share.
- Save the meeting.
5. Share Files During a Live Meeting
- Open meeting chat.
- Click the Attach icon.
- Select and upload the file.
6. Tips for Managing Files
- Pin important documents using Pin to top.
- Create new documents with the New button.
- Remember: channel files go to SharePoint; chat files go to OneDrive.
