Connecting to KCKCC-WiFi on Linux with KDE Plasma

To connect to KCKCC-WiFi using a Linux device running KDE Plasma as the desktop environment, follow these steps.

  1. On the right hand side of your taskbar click on the Wi-Fi symbol, this will open up the networks menu.
  2. Find KCKCC-WiFi and select "connect"
  3. This will open up a new window. Navigate to the "Wi-Fi Security" tab at the top and click on it.
  4. Within this menu there are multiple options you will need to configure;
    • Security: WPA/WPA2 Enterprise
    • Authentication: Protected EAP (PEAP)
    • Anonymous identity: This can be your college email address or student ID number
    • Domain: Leave blank
    • CA certificate: Leave blank
    • PEAP version: Automatic
    • Inner Authentication: MSCHAPv2
    • Username: This can be your college email address or student ID number
    • Password: This will be the password to your college email address
  5. After these settings have been configured click on the save button.

You will see a notification pop up stating "Connection 'KCKCC-WiFi" activated.

Once completed, you will be connected to KCKCC-WiFi.

These steps were completed on Fedora Linux 43. Depending on what Linux distribution you have installed these settings may vary.
